

But it never hurts to try it out and see if save states will work with the game(s) you want to save in! Start playing a game and do the following. In other words, save states won't work with more than half of the games supported by MAME.

If a given driver is not known to work perfectly, you will receive a warning that the save state may not be valid when attempting to save or load.
